Ding Ding Djello

Ding Ding Djello – Koumandian

*—Made me feel/think something

Guinean rap from a group of well-educated lads, who big up their school with the album title (Koumandian Keita is the largest private school in Conarky). Established Senegalese rapper Sister Fa helps on vocals. Senegalese and German producer/musicians Bob Dynaa and Steven Töteberg (who ran a very important studio in Dakar for the youth called Maison Yes, where this was recorded) produced and mixed the album. Not much info about the group themselves…I think this is from the late ’90s. Meh, this album is mediocre but tracks 3, 4 and 9 made me feel like sharing it.
