Ata Kak “Obaa Sima” out March 3, 2015
Best news ever, never thought I’d be saying this:
After many years of searching and many months of preparation, Ata Ka’s Obaa Sima, the very nexus of this Awesome Tapes From Africa thing, comes out on LP, CD, MP3 and Limited Edition Tape on March 3, 2015 worldwide. Ata Kak is very excited that everyone is into his music and he has given ATFA his blessing to push forth with this release packed with archival photos and exclusive biographical information. I bought the Ata Kak Lp. In the liner notes the note that mentioned above seems to suggest the download code is for a copy of the record at the original speed.
I am just wondering if that is what I received when I downloaded it. The files are marked “AtaKakFast-M1”, and I am having a hard time noticing the difference in pitch from the original. Could you confirm that “AtaKakFast-M1” files are indeed the intended and slower pitch?
