A.B. Crentsil and the Osookoo Stars
Hard-to-find tape recording of an LP by one of the most prolific and influential of the great Ghanaian highlife personages.
My friend Aaron who hooked up this tape pointed out an interesting article from Ghana’s Showbiz entertainment rag that talks about Crentsil’s collabo with billion-time Ghana Music Award-winning hiplife star Obour.

Thought I recognized this song from somewhere… Orchestra Baobab covers it on their “A Night at Club Baobab” album as “Kelen Ati Leen.” Completely different sound, but the melody is recognizable. -Seth Swingle

Also released officially as Hollywood Highlife by the Sweet Talks. Sweet Talks released this in the late 70s following a trip to LA to work with the Crusaders. Great songs!
