Whoa, thanks for sharing! The spine says "Mahmoud Ahmed Ke Roha Band Gar" or "Mahmoud Ahmed with Roha Band." Roha Band grew out of Ibex Band. Ibex was the group on the landmark Ere Mela Mela recordings.
This would be a great release for vinyl or cd.

I'll have to listen again to see if this is on your tape.

Thanks for sharing. Yes, Mahmoud Ahmed with Roha Band. "Roha Band" contributed a lot to the development of Ethiopian modern music.

Thanks for sharing! Mahamoud is one of my favorite singers. I will try to find what the titles are for the singles.

Just listened to Side 1 (so far), initially thought it was a crappy recording, and wasn't going to listen for long, however it really gets the foot and leg going... keeps getting better the further you go listening to the tracks...
Now I'm hooked, this is excellent, I'll definitely be looking for more of Mahamoud's stuff

I have this cassette and I once tried to transcribe the words.
I think side a has the songs Indunesh beluline, Ye gashelig nepur, Kongit, Anta nelenwoy and Yaba belal.
Side b has the songs Me yema, Wey fikir part 1, Wey fikir pasrt 2, Engetaye nesh and Eiwalalen kery.
I think the cassette (or the LP) is from 1986

WHAT? Growing up in Addis in the 80s, Roha Band was THE band. No questions asked. I LOVE the legendary Walias Band, but I was too young to really know them as they were more late 70s early 80s. I hit my teens in the late 80s so ROHA was it!!! This tape was huge when it came out around 1986, I was 11. I still have it (inherited from older sister). By the way R.I.P.
